This project revitalizes a distressed urban area by demolishing an existing 15,000 sf un-reinforced masonry building with a new 2 story recreation and education center with classrooms, gymnasium, game room, and support areas. The design responds to the specific needs of the community with a need to provide a safe environment in a neighborhood with high levels of gang activity.
